English version Tazaldoo UG is a Berlin based IT-startup founded by Frederik Fischer, Torsten Müller and Arno Dirlam in 2012. The mixed team of journalists and developers has set itself the goal of turning the flood of information from social media into a reliable and efficient source. Therefore Tazaldoo develops software solutions that enable information workers to find and analyze relevant content and sources in social media. Tazaldoo’s product ‘Tame’, a browser-based web application, is a personalized context search engine for the microblogging service Twitter, that delivers users a quick overview about their timeline activity and suggests hashtags, experts and content for any search term. Tazaldoo is supported with EXIST, an entrepreneurial grant by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the European Social Fund (ESF).

German version Die Tazaldoo UG ist ein 2012 in Berlin von Frederik Fischer, Torsten Müller und Arno Dirlam gegründetes IT-Startup. Das Unternehmen hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, aus der Informationsflut der sozialen Medien eine zuverlässige und effiziente Quelle zu machen. Dafür entwickelt Tazaldoo Software-Lösungen, mit denen sämtliche Informationsarbeiter für sie relevante Inhalte und Quellen in sozialen Medien suchen und analysieren können. Tazaldoos Produkt “tame”, eine Browser-basierte Web-Applikation, ist eine personalisierte Suchmaschine für den Kurznachrichtendienst Twitter. Nutzer können sich mit “tame” einen schnellen Überblick der wichtigsten Themen ihrer Timeline verschaffen und bekommen darüber hinaus zu jedem Suchbegriff die relevantesten Hashtags, Profile und Links. Tazaldoo wird mit EXIST, einem Entrepreneur-Stipendium des Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie (BMWi) und dem Europäischen Sozialfonds (ESF) gefördert.

Founder bios

English version Frederik Fischer is founder and CEO of Tazaldoo UG, where he is responsible for business development, finance, human resources and sales. Fischer has five years of professional experience as a staff and freelance journalist for TV, radio, online and print with a thematic focus on digital culture. His references include ARD, ZDF, Arte, 3sat, BR, Deutsche Welle, FTD, Zeit Online, TAZ, tape.tv and Business Punk. Frederik started his career as a HR manager in the public service sector, and holds an Master of Arts in Media Studies from Aarhus University as well as an Master of Arts in Business and Finance Journalism from City University London. Arno Dirlam is founder and CTO of Tazaldoo UG, and responsible for IT production as well as research and development. Being a Ruby on Rails developer and founder since 2006, he previously created web applications and CRM systems for SMEs. Arno holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Management, from Mannheim University and Copenhagen Business School, where he specialized in Organizational Research, Science and Technology Studies, and Innovation Management. Torsten Müller is founder and CCO of Tazaldoo UG where he manages public relations, marketing and sales. He has three years professional experience as freelance journalist for online and print (including dpa, stern.de, Zeit Online), and as a PR Trainee (agency) in the ICT sector, plus international internships and freelancing in newsrooms, marketing and advertising. Torsten holds a Master of Arts in Media Studies from the Universities of Hamburg and Aarhus.

Fischer verfügt über fünf Jahre Berufserfahrung als fester und freier Journalist für TV, Radio, Online und Print mit thematischem Fokus auf Netzkultur- und Politik. Dabei arbeitete er u.a. für ARD, ZDF, Arte, 3Sat, BR, Deutsche Welle, FTD, Zeit Online, TAZ, tape.tv und Business Punk. Seine berufliche Laufbahn begann er als Personalmanager im öffentlichen Dienst. Fischer hat einen Master of Arts in Medienwissenschaften sowie Business and Finance Journalism der Universitäten London und Aarhus. Arno Dirlam ist Gründer und CTO von Tazaldoo UG und leitet die Bereiche IT-Produktion sowie Forschung und Entwicklung. Ruby-on-Rails-Spezialist Dirlam ist seit 2006 freiberuflicher Softwareentwickler u.a. für Web-Applikationen und CRM-Systeme für kleine und mittelständische Kunden. Vor der Gründung von Tazaldoo war er u.a. für SAP Research und Bosch China tätig. Dirlam hat einen Master of Science in Wirtschaftsinformatik der Universität Mannheim und Copenhagen Business School. Torsten Müller ist Gründer und CCO von Tazaldoo UG und für Unternehmenskommunikation, Marketing und Vertrieb verantwortlich. Müller verfügt über drei Jahre Berufserfahrung als freier Journalist für Online- und Print (u.a dpa, stern.de, Zeit Online) im In- und Ausland und zwei Jahre in Public Relations und Marketing (Volontariat in einer Full-Service-Agentur mit internationalen Kunden im ICT-Bereich). Müller hat einen Master of Arts in Medienwissenschaften der Universitäten Hamburg und Aarhus.
